Minimal Piece (2016)

As a master’s student in composition, one of my favorite courses was “Analysis of Contemporary Music,” taught by Dr. Amin Honarmand. In this class, we explored three styles: Minimalist, Neoclassical, and Atonal, and for our final project, we composed a piece in each style.

This particular piece is in the Minimalist style and is inspired by the works of Steve Reich. You can find a complete explanation of the compositional process and an analysis of the piece in the file below (in Persian).
