The Balance of a Curve (2016)

I composed the piece “The Balance of a Curve” for orchestra in 2016, based on a graphical design. This design, which can be seen in the piece’s score, was drawn with the concept of balance between different dimensions in mind. While composing the piece, I created correspondences between the musical elements and the graphical design and proceeded based on them. A more detailed explanation can be found at the beginning of the piece’s score.

This piece was one of my composition projects that I completed at the University of Tehran under the supervision of my professor, Dr. Sara Abazari.
